Description: Luminol is one of the most widely used chemiluminescent substrates, and luminol based indirect bioassays are linear and efficient. 3-Aminophthalimide derivatives are considered to be “pro-chemiluminescent” substrates since treatment with hydrazine forms a primary amine and free luminol.1 These derivatives are also highly fluorescent and can be used for dual fluorescence and chemiluminescence studies. Our Luminol synthon NHS ester (HC 9095) is designed for post synthetic modification of an oligonucleotide which can then be used as a fluorescent tagged oligo, or treated with hydrazine for chemiluminescence studies.
